Wintershall’s dramatised clips of scenes from The Life of Christ’ production link to character education and virtues themes and provide the theological stimulus for an enquiry on a series of virtues which are recognised as part of Christian core values as well as being shared human values. Initially three virtues have been linked to these clips, which are love, humility and patience. Please click on the link to view these clips:
Feedback from teachers on the Life of Christ clips linked to virtues
I found the clips quite inspirational and could use them in class to stimulate enquiry-based learning
I found the clips and stills a good resource that could easily be transferred into the classroom across all ages.
Children can be inspired to reach out to others
I found the clips and stills hugely useful
A good visual representation of the Bible
Shows the different ages of people present – not ever discussed or understood by children of primary age
Pictures throw up discussion about responding to God’s call. Thought provoking and engaging, video clips challenging.
They raise questions and draw out response at many different levels.
Differs from the cartoon version often used, good to see real life representations
Powerful videos and images
Seeing first hand how the Bible impacts on real people’s lives today
Making learning creative, making learning come alive
Inspirational photos and clips that are able to stimulate and engage the audience, challenging their ideas and thinking
Inspiring and motivational clips for use in KS1 and KS2. Can be carried through the whole liturgical year
Video clips useful for deepening children’s understanding
Video useful instead of a trip as we are too far away
Previously unseen scenes useful for whole class teaching
Powerful to hear the reflections of the actors
