One of our Wintershall Education team traveled to Goa recently and while she was there she performed her assembly piece to many children and teachers. The children’s homes are in Panjiim, Goa and they are looked after by the charity Bethesda Life Centre.
This is what Mel had to say about her experience
“The homes are run by a Pastor and his wife and they are totally reliant on God. Each evening at 7pm, before dinner, the children have 1/2 hr of prayers and worship time. The joy they see in God is amazing. I led the prayer time a couple of times in the different homes. As English is not their first language, a couple of the children read the bible passage before I then came on to surprise them.. Afterwards we discussed the drama which then led into prayer and singing. As an aside, when I went to get changed out of my outfit, I took my head dress off and this large frog jumped out!”
The Education team are working hard to enable as many as possible to ‘Experience the Story’ – thank you Mel for taking your piece from Surrey to Goa. Truly Wonderful.
